I'm on a PGWP and my study permit is simultaneously active (it had an extension right before my last semester). I have been paying my monthly MSP fees of $75 every month now, and I JUST realized that PGWP holders do not need to pay that.
I updated my MSP account with my PGWP recently. It is still not processed though. I still had a MSP payment which had a due date after the date from when I updated my account.
Do you think they will give me a refund for the payments? Is there such a thing as " implied status " when it comes to MSP? Since I applied for updating my MSP account with my PGWP before the due date of my monthly fees, will they say that the payment was not necessary and issue a refund?
I know I can call and ask but they're difficult to get hold of and talk to, so I'm asking if anyone here has been through similar cases.
