Dear altruist,
I am writing this post about the eligibility for a Post Graduate Work Permit. I finished my M.Sc. (full-time, research based) from Queen's University, Canada in July 2019. After completing my M.Sc. I started my full-time PhD program in the fall of 2019. Currently, I am finishing my 2nd year of my PhD. My study permit and visitor visa are valid until 2023. Now, I want to work as a full-time employee and move to a part-time PhD program. My supervisor agrees with this decision. (I am not sure if I need to have the Job offer letter.) So, my question is that can I get a post-graduate work permit with my M.Sc.
completion during my current study permit? What is the best option in this case to get a post graduate work permit?
Note that it is sated, "You have 180 days after you get your final marks to apply for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP). To be eligible, your study permit must have been valid at some point during these 180 days." https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/after-graduation/eligibility.html
