I am trying to understand how to go about obtaining Canadian citizenship and if I may already be entitled to it!

I was born in the UK in November 1977. However my Dad was born in Canada in 1948 to British parents. From what I can gather on the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration website this means my Dad is a Canadian citizen despite him not having lived there since he was 11 years old, and that I am also entitled to citizenship?

Can anyone help me to clarify this? If this is the case how do I go about obtaining citizenship? Do I fill out the "application for citizenship" forms or the "proof of citizenship" forms?

Also if I am entitled to citizenship would my partner (been together for 5 years but not married) be allowed to emigrate there with me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
