i am currently employed and as im going to apply for visa in a week hopefully so i got my work experience letter from my employer and told him the reason that i am applying for MS in a local university as they are quite reluctant in giving letter if told that i am going abroad. So the guy printed me out a letter which has that local university name mentioned in it. So i was thinking if i just overwrite/alter or hide university name using white ink pen/marker and submit that letter with my visa application.
Or if i just scan it and print it out by removing that name of that uni. and submit this new copy ?
Please guide.

Do not do that. Ask you employer to give you a letter "To Whom It May Concern". Tell him you are not sure which university you may be accepted.

OR Explain the situation to Visa Office.

nope they are such an assholes they won't make one for me.. so i can't ask them again for a newer one...
