Hi , I have just started to fill the FSW forms, and i learnt about the Alberta AINP for H1B programs.

I am on H1 and currently in US. I am very much confused now as to which route should i pick FSW or specifically Alberta PR.

Can anyone details difference b/w the two. Time duration for getting the PR, preference to H1 holder, easy of filing, duration - PR is valid etc. Also if any changes have impacted either of these processes.
Thanks,
RockerRocker

First of all, have you looked at both requirements? does your job code fall in both list in either FSW and AINP?

Hi,
Do not even think about applying to Alberta Nominee Program. That Province is rejecting all the applications. My application was rejected 1 year after they received it. The only reason stated was that the state is losing jobs and industries are in bad shape. So, if you qualify for FSW please apply for FSW.

Good Luck

Zabaloch,
that is probably true. I applied AINP on Dec 10, until now I did not receive any response from Alberta.
My FSW was applied on Dec 23 and I received AOR on Feb 16.
I applied both because my past job experience fits FSW and current experience fits AINP H1B.
But it is almost 4 months and no response from AINP.

ErikVirgo,

You may not like it but do not hold any hopes from AINP. I applied in May last year and this march (after 10 months) they told me that due to the condition of economy, they are closing my application if I fail to submit a job offer).
