Hello everyone, I have applied for the AINP Express Entry Stream and I recently got declined because I don't qualify for FSW. Basically the officer stated the first sentence here https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ntry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html says "This program is for workers with foreign work experience".

I only have Canadian experience, and the officer noticed I don't have any foreign work experience, hence I got declined. However, there is no explicit mention in the minimum requirements section of FSW from the webpage above that states you must have foreign work experience, only 1 year of work experience.

Also, the QNA here https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=394&top=29 shows that student work experience while studying in Canada should count towards the minimum requirements for FSW. I would imagine if student work experience in Canada count, then oridnary work experience in Canada should also count.

Should I reappeal for the decision in hopes of getting another officer to review or would that be a waste of 100$?

What is your full profile and NOC? How many years Canadian work experience do you have on your work permit? How many years of continuous work experience (foreign experience if counting Canadian experience as a student) do you have in a NOC A, B or 0 job? You need 67 points to be eligible for FSW. Do you have 67 points (not CRS)?

Hi, I worked 7 months as a Co-op intern and 5 months as a full time worker in NOC 2174 (NOC A). I have more than 67 points to be eligible for FSW.

To be eligible for FSW, the employment must be one year full time and continuous (no breaks between jobs). Are the two Jobs continuous? If not, you are not eligible for FSW.

Yes, the two jobs are continuous, in fact, under the same employer. My position just changed (in a way promotion I suppose) from co-op intern to full-time

Again what is your full profile? Are you answering any questions incorrectly Like have a job offer or study in Canada in English/ French?

I stated there is a job offer (approval from my current workplace to relocate from ontario to alberta) but with no LMIA. I studied in a university in Canada and received bachelors degree last January.

This is my express entry profile (Work history section, let me know if you want any other sections, also I replaced my legal name to my username):

Ok, so the problem is actually the job offer? I will fix that immediately.

Otherwise, if you notice the work history there is two, the co-op intern work May 2021 - Jan 2022 and its subsequent full time employee Jan 2022 - Present. So combined it should be more than little over 1 year.

You need to convince the immigration officer - not us. Try again and good luck.
