I am sure pkakula will have good answers for you, and this link may also be helpful. It gives you the proposed increases in minimum wage levels. Hope it helps.

it may take to settle down but what ever technology u r in just keep trying until u suceed i did the same and was successful!!!
Also certification is good choice if you r developer.PMP if u r project managfer.

Thanks Pkakula for posting this thread..
my husband is a software sales engineer in IT
we hope to find a job soon after we land in Canada..
When you have enough time.. will you give us a clue on how you managed to find your current job?

& how about the Microsoft certificates, do those count in Canada?

Hi meena,

Apart from applying, try calling the employers/recruiters if u happen to see their contact numbers on the job postings coz that way u will get some interviews lined up and could land in a job very soon!,try it!

Hi ,

Only thing you could do is look for a parttime job first with 9-10 $ per hour and then start applying .Do a thorough research of what testing skills are required. Then ungrade if needed and keep applying. Only thing is never Quit attitude will help you.keep on applying until u suceed and one day you will post in the same forum!!!

Keep your expectations low initially for atleast 6 months.Since you will have trouble getting job in your field. So once you guys land here .Based on your husabands background .I can advice him to apply for Reatil Electronic stores like future shop, sourceone,Bestbuy etc etc they will pay 9 $ per hour something like that with benifits .Software sales experience with good comm skills might help but not sure about how the market is here for that profession. Microsoft certifications for Developers will help.

As a landed 4131, i would like to get advice from you as a 4131. I have 5 years of teaching experience and have done a Master's Degree in Intercultural Studies Communication and Administration.

What kind of beginners jobs can i do? I would like to know, if there is anything i can prepare before landing, if i a granted the visa in the future.

Thanks and waiting for your reply.
