Dear All

I did apply as skilled worker, I would like to ask , after I do the landing , can I get back to my home land to liquidate my assets?

In other words I am I obligated to stay in Canada after the landing?

Please advice my friends , it is to pitty to lost the value of my assets just because I must stay in Canada after the landing.

After your landing, you are a PR. You can travel back to your home country for any purpose as long as you return to fulfill the residency obligation ( 2 years in canada out of 5 years).

In order to travel and return to Canada after landing you must have a PR card. Currently PR card processing can take upto 2 months - so you will have to stay in canada for 2 months or until you get the PR card before travel.

There are other ways such as getting a travel document in your own country but getting a PR card for a new PR is the best and safest way.
