Once you complete the landing formalities, the immigration letter will hand you a letter confirming that you are the official permanent resident of Canada. Keep this letter safely with you till the PR card is mailed to you.

The CoPR letter. So, keep the letter safe. If you have to travel before getting your pr card, make sure you bring the letter with you. It'll help you at the border when you return.

my case: i had two COPR one was with my PICTURE

when i went for landing at border

officer asked some question

then he did some work at computer

then come back again and ask two question from COPR 1. charged any crime/refused admission or required to leave Canada 2. have any dependants other than listed below.

if yes write yes and your initial sign if no write no and with your initial sign = my answer was no for both and initial sign

then he took both COPR and bring again and give me one COPR copy which has no PICTURE and said congers now you are CANADA PR holder

i found in COPR he wrote : become PR at : XXXXXX become PR on : 2015/12/XXXX
i also found he sign with some digit example: 12345 and dates

he also said to me change your sin/health card/ he also said your PR will arrive by 70 days.


but problem is when i went to service Canada for new sin they said CIC dint update yet

so i am ver upset and stress what happen

today i called cic they said they will send messages to SK border

so please advise me i in stress

You should be fine. They take the CoPR copy with the photo and leave you with the non-photo one. They don't ask you for your SIN number at the border at all. Just wait a few days and got back to see if you can update your SIN number. It shouldn't be a big deal and you are fine as long as you have your copy of the CoPR. It just some times takes a bit for the immigration status updates to show up in their computer system.n so, don't worry yet.

if your passport stamp by border officer and cross the visa sign the copr then you are fine
you are Canada PR

sin wait or call cic

you can also call border to update your details

my ECAS still show dm not complete yet although I already landed

You're welcome! I wasn't able to check my ECAS status to see what my says. I completely forgot to look at it after I landed and now when I go init says it can't identify me based on the info I type in. Since I was using my application number and it says it only shows status of in progess applications, I am assuming that my application is now complete.
The system still has a few glitches in it, but so far they all seem to work themselves out.
