Hi! I joined this forum to help my sister get some answers regarding her interview.
My sister is in the Philippines and she had her interview for Skilled worker in late February 2011. She has a job offer in Canada already that is why she applied for the visa.
I don't have a clear understanding as to the details of her interview. All I know is that she is done with her medical then she had her interview. After the interview she told me that the I.O. didn't tell her if she passed or not but that he needed to think about if he will give her approval or not. She is just confused coz all her original documents & passport were not returned to her. She is still currently waiting for them to return her passport & what ever documents they would return to her.
I know someone who is in Canada on a skilled worker's visa and she said that after the interview they tell you if you are approved or not. If she is approved, how long does it take for them to send the passport back? Or if she gets denied, how long will it take for the embassy to return the documents to her?
So what do you all think? I have done a little research and found out that if you have an employer when you get there that you don't really need to show proof of funds. Is this right?
Thank you for your help!
