AES Direct Filling after Simplified Trade Solutions?

Hi,

I'm a foreign national and I had to get the ITN via broker "Simplified Trade Solutions".
The next step mentions "STEP 4: Create ACE account and Submit Filing on AESDirect"
I'm curious if i still need to do that step or not? It seems the document sent to me via Simplified Trade Solutions has the necessary information.

Simplified Trade Solutions is a broker and is supposed to do that step for you. Did you get an ITN from them? If yes, then you should be all set.

Yes I have the ITN number but i'm wondering if i still need to "Create ACE account and Submit Filing on AESDirect"

No, it's not needed. From the link you posted:

Once you have chosen a broker, paid, and obtained your ITN number you can skip to STEP x: At the border, ready to export!

I would totally pass Simplified Trade Solutions. They are very unprofessional and left me stranded at the US borders for 8 hours because of an error they made when they filed the AES. They answered my first call, but once they knew the trouble I am going through because of them, they stopped responding for the next 3 hours and the next thing I get from them is a refund notification without having the decency to notify me or apologize. STAY AWAY from them, unless you want to 8hours dealing with officers at the borders, they are cheap for a reason!!!!
