Could someone advise me on the below situation?

I have a job offer from USA. i have applied for H1 visa. Employer wants me to work from Canada until I get my USA visa stamped (likely in Oct timeframe). However I prefer to live and work out of Canada (my employer is ok with this as well). Please note that my employer is based out of USA and does not have office in Canada and i would be working remotely. My questions are?

(1)What type of visa should I be applying to work out of Canada considering that I dont have a job offer from Canadia company. It is only that I will live out of Canada and work for USA firm
(2)what are the usual processing timelines?

Please advise.

Thank You!

1. You could work for a US employer remotely as long as there are no Canadian clients. You would only be issued a visitor permit. If you require a TRV to enter Canada, the chances are remote that you would get it.
