advice regarding dependants back home

I applied cec with dependant children who are back home while i am in canada. i wonder whether cic will transfer their file back home for further process or will they process everything from within canada????? and also when it is time for passport request, will i send out all our passport together within canada?

Usually the entire file gets processed at the same visa office, so in your case I'd expect it all to go to CPP-O. When the time for PPR comes, CIC expects all passports to be submitted together to the visa office, that is Detroit in your case.
