Hi
Can somebody please give advice
We are in Canada on work permits, we want to apply for pr. But for express entry we only got 354 points and is afraid its not gonna be enough to get a draw. What would you suggest?

Provincial nom takes to long without express entry, the processing time is 19 months and by then our work permits will be expired!

At any time EE, but you have low score then no option..

Do not go for pnp . U will go stuck
Like us and many who already waiting for more then 24 months.

Oh no. We are in Alberta and noc is 8252. Agricultural manager. We hoped we could do pnp through express entry.

I have heard that if we dont get nominated on express entry we have to renew our work permits for another 2 years. Then we would be here 4 years after it expires and then we qualify for pr? Is that true?

How did you manage such a low score ? what is the break up of the 354 points?

We dont have degree’s. Only work experience and we only have 4 months work experience in Canada. But they dont take that in account unfortunately. Maybe after a year lol.

For express entry you would need minimum education:

Education
If you went to school in Canada, you must have a certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian:
  • secondary (high school) or
  • post-secondary school
If you have foreign education, you must have:

are you planning obtain a degree within an year?
and what about your language score? have you given English/french language test?
any foreign work experience?

No we just have work permits. What other routes do you think we can do? We will get our school certificates assed if it would help. I have a sectretarial diploma that I’ll get assed to if it helps. But would it make a huge enough difference to get over 400 points?

For Secondary diploma (high school graduation) you get 28 points with spouse and 30 points without the spouse. Spouse will get additional 2 points.
what about other questions I asked above

what about your language test scores? they can add up to 20 points as well...
you will need to wait for 1 year to finish to qualify for the express entry as it requires minimum 1 yr and job and should be in NOC 0, A, B skills category only.

His occupation is a noc 0. I really hope we dont have to wait for a year to re apply. Really lol. Is there no other way. I have read today that Alberta just started with pnp through express entry hopefully cos we are here already and working it would count in our favour?
