I would really appreciate some advice based on our current situation. We wish to move to Canada.

I am married and have 2 kids, I am 32 and my wife 33. I work full time for a UK tech company I work from home in Ireland, with rare occasional need to travel for work. My wife is currently studying to become a dental nurse, she has her exams in a few months and will be qualified if all goes well. My sister moved to Canada around 5 years ago and now has permanent residency. Additionally, not sure if this is of any benefit at all but we have a contact within the Irish embassy that is of high official capacity, he actually assisted with my sisters permanent residency.

We were originally planning on relocating to USA however, following research and the fact that my sister is already in Canada we decided to move there.

I can carry on working for the UK company from Canada and will not need to seek for employment. My wife who will be a qualified dental nurse in a few months wishes to further her education in that field and will possible study and/or work.

I am concerned that my current employment will complicate the application process and would really appreciate some advice on how to best proceed? I appreciate that we have a lot of research to do, so any info and guidance would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance!

Your current employment situation shouldn't complicate things. It's typically much easier to immigrate to Canada if you have a permanent job offer here from a Canadian employer. However it's still possible to immigrate here under some circumstances without a job offer. You should start by familiarizing yourself with Canada's immigration programs to see if you qualify to apply and if so, under which program(s):
