Hi all,

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I recently got the Canadian PR under CEC category and planning to marry a guy from UK. The guy is illegal in UK. I know he will be deported from the UK and will have to go back to india. So is it possible for him to come to canada after getting married. What are his chances?

Thank you.

I think he needs PCC from UK. In Schedule A form he need to mention personal history, addresses for last 10 years.
I don't think he can get PCC from UK since he is in UK illegally

Thank you for your reply.

I was thinking if he goes back to india and then I apply and try not to mention UK on the Canadian PR file.

Does he has UK VISA stamp on his passport? if yes, apply for new passport in India 8) 8)

Yeah Good Idea. Ask a lawyer too and see if he can help, but , most likely he is inadmissible to canada if this is mentioned... just get it from India and do not mention UK

Thanks guys....

Ya that's the plan, he will apply for a new passport from india. I hope it works.

He went to UK to study and his college was closed after he graduated. That's why he was out of status and ended up staying illegally.

Be careful...look up misrepresentation. Not mentioning his stay in UK and saying he was in India all the time is misrepresentation. See a lawyer and get better advice as to how to go about this. Goodluck.

Thanks. Can anyone suggest me a good lawyer in toronto?

Is there a sample copy of PCC from UK? (just for reference)

Cause I believe overstay is not going to show up in PCC.
Unless there is an arrest order or conviction on his name, which I don't think there will be any.

PLease beware that any misrepresentation from your side may affect your PR status forget about your boy friend's PR. Better consult a lawyer and take your next steps. There may be lot of postive options where lawyer can suggest.

I am just exploring my best option to get him here. I will also consult a lawyer.

Thank you all for guiding me.

Stay away from him. He is going to marry you just to enter Canada.

She is just asking for immigration procedure here. How come you think you can tell someone who to marry or not marry here!!!???

Just an honest advise as a friend. She might screw up her luck to receive citizenship. You never know. Anyway, as a friend my advise is, never lie in immigration document . The worse thing might be a refusal. That's ok. In general, The person who has eligibility to get Canadian PR, they can have 50 times better life back home than in Canada. If possible, you go back and stay with that guy in India. If the guy still happy for year after year, then you will find out, he truly loves you.

Lol don't you think you getting off topic here. She is seeking advice regarding mentioned his BF in application as he is in UK illegally. She is not seeking an advice regarding marrying and living life in India just to find out whether that boy loves her or not. No offense to you. ;) :D

He can come to Canada as your spouse. But Deportation from UK might screw up all his chances to come to Canada. Seek an advice from expert lawyer.
