Hi Everyone, I am in a bit of a pickle. I want to move to Vancouver permantely. I have been trying to locate a job via agencies and they all come back to say that I need to be there to get one, yet I am informed that I can't go to Vancouver unless I have a job lined up.

My query is - should I go to Vancouver and applied for PR from there.
Should I go to Vancouver even though I don't have a job lined up and look for one when I get there.

Can anyone please advise me as I want to move over asap.

Thanks
Adrian

Unless you have special skills, it is hard to get a job in Canada from outside Canada.

I am not sure if it is easy to find a job there on a visitor's visa. Can someone answer that?

It's not even easy to find a job for many PR's but if you go to Canada on vacation and do interviews, you have a better chance than trying to do it online. You can also try to approach companies online and say you will be in Vancouver and can you set up an interview. You can not get a work permit without a job offer. As for applying for PR directly, check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp to see if you qualify for anything.
