Hi everyone. I just got a refusal for my CAQ renewal and I’m really confused. My current CAQ, issued in late 2023, is still valid until April 2026.
I had withdrawn from my first university in early 2025 due to some personal and academic difficulties. I went back to my home country in March while waiting for a new valid study permit for another Québec university. My new permit was approved in April, and I returned in May to resume full-time studies.
I submitted all documents: proof of lawful status, letter explaining the gap in my studies, full-time enrolment, insurance coverage, financials, and travel stamps, but MIFI refused saying my explanations weren’t satisfactory.
Has anyone had their CAQ refusal reversed or gone through the administrative review process successfully? Any advice would mean a lot.
