hi guys. me and my partner choose to apply outland even if we are both here in Canada. However, I wanted to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of outland application? do I need to go to my country if I have a medical requet already?

No, just have the medical done in Canada. The disadvantages are: no easy to get work permit, so you are stuck either finding remote work or living in a country that allows you to work. Another is that if you are red flagged for an interview you will have to travel back to your home country for that. And, if you choose to live in Canada, you don't have implied status, so you have to keep up your visa/visitor record etc.

The advantages: Most outland apps are processed faster, some by a very large amount. You can leave Canada any time you want without worry that your app will be cancelled. With an outland app you have appeal rights, not so with inland. I think that about covers it.
 
The advantages of outland far outweigh the bad. Just stay with outland.
