Admission refusal from Seneca college

Hi everyone,

I had applied to seneca college in the 3D animation program in September through a well known consultant and the only thing that was missing was the Ielts TRF. Which i was told in the email by the college.

I scored 7 bands and sent it out immediately to them on the 20th of October. Now during that time their portal was down for a week according to the consultant which was shown to me as a proof and at the end of October they officially sent it to them. The representative was directly in touch with my consultant and they said everything was fine.

Along with me 2 other students applied with me but to a different department. Unfortunately i received an email stating that my application was rejected because it was incomplete, which doesn't make sense.

I spoke to my consultant and they said that the issue was from seneca's side and they are trying to resolve it. Later i found out that the 2 other students received the same reply today.

I have already sent an email to the college directly. Now my biggest concern is:

1. What should I do now?
2. Do I blame the consultant? Because thats what im gonna do naturally.
3. Do I have any other option than to apply again next year?
4. Is there anyway to challenge seneca ? I have everything in the email as proof.

Depends on what college replies, you cant really challenge an admission refusal, maybe get them to waive the application fee next time.

Why did you use a consultant? Its a simple application website were you just upload some files.

Next time don't use consultant, even when applying for a visa. It is easy to do and you will have control to meet the deadlines and what to upload.

Ok so i finally got a reply back from them, it was a mistake from their end. They re opened my application and apologised for all the confusion that was caused.

My consultant argued with them over the phone and cleared it out that one of the student employees without looking at the documents cancelled the application.

As far as hiring a consultant is concerned, i live in Pakistan and our reputation is realllly bad around the world. So this is where consultants help us out with our visa and admissions..

It is a highly competitive program so unfortunately there are refusals.

Doesn't matter, i fired them, did everything on my own and honestly its all very easy!
