I landed this past month via flapoling. At the US side, we were handed a piece of paper for the administrative refusals but nothing was stamped on our passports. Now i'm planning a trip to the US and i was wondering if i had to tell the officer i had once gotten an admin refusal. Has anyone who flagpoled visited the usa lately? What was your experience like? Did you have any problems at the port of entry?

Flag poling is registered in the US border security database, so yes you will have to declare it.
However many people do that so you will not have a hard time on that.

P.S. - US border officials are generally rude, do not take it personally . lol

Thank you kirtivsingh :) :)

I'm particularly worried for my friend who drove me to the border. He had a valid US visa at the time we flagpoled and i was wondering if he would have any problems explaining this to the US border officials (rudeness aside) :)

See this thread various opinions but same as with any border crossing if not asked do not volunteer information as that just generates unecessary additional questions from the immigration officer. If they want more info from you they will surely ask as they will have they need in front on them on their screen. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/use-us-visitor-visa-or-administrative-refusal-for-landing-t342389.0.html An admin refusal should have zero impact anyway on either a visa application or entry to the US, could be other reasons of course.

thank you for the link :) :). Its quite confusing though, reading different views on this issue. It would be nice to hear from someone who has gone to the US since flagpoling just to have an idea of their personal experience though.

An admin refusal doesn't need to be declared. This has been confirmed by CBP many times.
