Dear all,
I have studied in two different states within the same country and have worked in two different cities within the same state, but not outside the country (India). while listing down the address history, should I mention all the different address. The educational history and work history will have the place of collages and institutions where I have studied and worked.

My basic question is should we provide different addresses of residence within the same country or just mention the passport address.

Thanks in advance

Yes everywhere you actually lived. Passport address isnt reliable (not all countries paasports have addresses listes and not everyone changes their passports when they move)

ok, that means, I should mention all address within India where I lived for past 10 years. I was under the impression that we need to mention only the address if we move between countries. should we have a proof of residence for every place we stayed, like college hostel, working women hostel etc. All are in India itself, but dont know the exact address.

I'm sure you can tell the difference between a residential address and a temporary stay

I am sorry to disturb you again, but I am still confused. I do understand that residential address is where you and your family stay (my house address, Kerala), but I've stayed at my UG college for four years in a different state but same country, that makes it pretty a long duration. I stayed in the college hostel. I am not sure what duration of stay should we forgo and consider as a temporary stay.

Is it that all stays for studies and work within the same country should be considered a temporary stay despite the duration.

Your 4 address in college would be the address of college hostel and city. A temporary stay is a visit because of tourism, work, business purposes. As a rule of thumb anywhere you spent more than 6 months is not probably a temporary stay.
