Hi all

I am in a great confusion. Kindly help to clarify that.

I had submitted my PR application in June. And I got married in first week of August. I understand that I need to submit my marriage certificate. Is there any other document that I need to submit. please guide.

Also, we got our marriage certificate registered on my wife's previous address (marriage certificate mentions that it as 'My name resident of XXXX address, which is my wife previous address), but we stay at different place in same city on rented accommodation. Do I need to provide any documentary proof? Because my PR status says that 'background verification is in progress'.

Please please please help.

It does not matter, your bg check should be based on your personal info section, where you have listed your addresses.

Congratulations! I assume you want to add your wife to your application. So submit the marriage certificate, and request instructions from IRCC how to add your wife to your application. They will tell you what other documents you need.

Don't worry about the address on the certificate. When you submit your wife's documents, they will understand.

But my question to you is - are you currently residing at the same address you provided to IRCC on your application? If not, you should update IRCC with your new address, when you send the marriage certificate.

Dear
many many many thanks for your response. It has helped. No, we just moved to a new place after marriage but within the same locality (from one sector to another). So which address I shall submit? The one where I am residing with my wife, right and not the one which is mentioned on my marriage certificate?
Do I need to give an affidavit stating that the address mentioned on my marriage certificate is only for the marriage certificate purpose, while I am residing at xxx place (which is different from mentioned in the marriage certificate)? Do I need to submit any kind of affidavit for the same?

In addition to the copy of marriage certificate, copy of your spouse's passport, updated POF would be required. Based on this CIC will instruct you as to what needs to be done with regard to medicals and PCC for your spouse. You may also have to Schedule A for your spouse. The address on the marriage certificate does not matter. Schedule A will cover up for the address history for your spouse.

Thanks Stanlee

Could you please guide what is Schedule A and from where to get this? Is this a soft copy form and need to be filled online? Or anything else?

I heard about Schedule A for the first time, sorry :(
