Hi all,

I consulted with an immigration advisor and he said that any absence of more than one month from my home country has to be included in all: personal activities, travel history and address history. I have several vacation trips that were longer than a month.

I’m conflicted because I’ve seen opposite opinions here on the forums that say that you only include a new address when you were living in a place for 6 months or more. Or when you redirected your mail to a different address (which I never did).

Should I follow the consultant’s advice? If so, what if I was 2 months in a country but in 4 different cities, what address would I use? The one where I stayed at the longest?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

In your travel history you put any place you have visited, even a 1 day or 2 months visit.
In your adress history you need to put the adress of the places were you were legally residing even if you have visited other countries during that period.

I have got mixed feedback from acquaintances so far. I currently reside in Singapore and a citizen of India. In the process of submitting my application. I have already secured the PCC from the Indian Embassy in Singapore. I am planning for a vacation to India before the submission. Does this mean I should obtain a PCC again once I come back?

CIC website reads as follows:
"For countries in which the applicant no longer lives, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the client lived in that country"

I live in Singapore now. I dont live in India but visiting India on vacation. Any feedback appreciated

If you want to be on the safe side, get a new PCC.
