Additional family members

hi all,

I am sponsoring my husband. We have no dependents. Do we also need to include application forms for his parents should we wish to sponsor them in the future? or is that just referring to dependents?

We did list his parents / siblings on the IMM5406 form.

I hope we didn't make a mistake

You do not include any application forms for any one you wish to sponsor in the future. The additional information form is just for them to clarify who are member's of your family . You didn't make a mistake. All good.

sorry got distracted by my dog lol yes if you had dependents then you would have had to send in a application form, if you were going to sponsor them in the future. This would be non accompany dependents .

Thank you very much! One more question. I received AOR and have a UCI number now and need to update some info. The change of address link provided in the AOR doesn't work (Error 404) and I need to update one of the responses in my forms. Still waiting for SA and my spousal application is not yet transferred to a visa office. I live in UAE so cannot call the 1-888 number (only works in Canada - I've tried). I can't access ECAS yet...I'm not in the system.

Is the only way to update CIC is by sending letter via courier? Is there an email address in Canada for case specific inquiry / updates?

No you will have to wait till you receive SA then give it a few days for it to load then send an email to your VO .

If you tried sending something right now they may not attach it to the right file even though you have AOR . Unless the question you are amending is going to affect your application for SA then i would wait.
