i have a question i was asked by immigration to fill imm5406 form.

the issue is that my father passed away and my mom remarried .

so for father column in imm5406 form, what do i put. as i was not adopted by my step father.

do i put my step father name and indicate that he is my step father

I don't have the form in front of me but I'm pretty sure there is a space for the address of your parents..if so put it down yes. In the space for my deceased father I simply wrote deceased. I think it also asks for the deceased date.
