I was curious about this form, as I am not sure how to fill it out properly. I know my spouse whom I am sponsoring must fill out this form, but we're doing it together so I'm asking on his behalf.

For the first part it asks for the applicant (my spouse). Then it asks for his common-law spouse if applicable. Does this mean he is to write my name? I'm his sponsor, but we are still common-law partners.

Sorry I ask so many questions! I just want to make sure I'm filling out the forms correctly

Yes you put your name. If he has no children put NONE and sign. Someone had to send the form again with the word none and it will delay their application by like a month.
