addition of spouse and name changes of parent in indian passport while citizenship application is in progress

Hi,

Someone I know has applied for citizenship and also have India passport which is about to expire.
he will be applying for new India passport and would like to match his parents name with their passports.
he would also like to add details of his spouse.

Just want to know if that will affect the citizenship application or not.
