Hi all,
I got ITA and I have submitted my documents. I want to add my spouse before landing. I am not married yet . I am planning my marriage after getting Copr. My marriage will not include my family members as it will be against their consent. I share genuine relationship with my boyfriend from last 4 years. What relationship proofs we should keep ready with us? Kindly guide me. Please share your personal experiences also .

Even if you add after COPR, they will cancel your COPR and then ask for relavent documents of your spouse..
Marriage certificate is one thing they will look into and once you add it might again take few months before you get your new COPR

As soon as you get married, you will need to notify the visa office and return your COPR. Your COPR will no longer be valid once you get married. You will then have to add your new spouse to your application and submit all of the required paperwork (including PCCs and medicals). IRCC will then processing your spouse's paperwork - this should take an additional 3-4 months. Once IRCC completes procesing for your spouse, you and your spouse will receive new COPRs which you can then use to land in Canada and become PRs.

If you get married after you receive your COPR, make sure you do not use that COPR to land. You must return the COPR and add your spouse to your application before you can land and become a PR.

Very kind and patience reply from your end. It’s becoming atrocious that these new members take helpful folks in here for granted. Asking v basic questions like we are paid to answer instead of doing the bare minimum of research.

It is not your personal forum . I kept my query if someone wants to reply he/she can. What is your problem if someone is replying ? These questions can be basic for you but important for someone else.
