Hi friends need help on my case , I applied under Cec in may , got medical on 1 Feb , MD 5 Feb , received 12 Feb by CIC, now waiting for ppr. When I applied , I mentioned that my common law partner is not accompning , because she alrdy had her own file under h&c , which got refused in Jan 2014 , even she had medical request in my file and security check too, I got email for rprf fee yesterday, can I still add her to my file or not .....thanks

Yes you can still add your partner in your application. Email CIC that you are adding your partner in your application and get it done asap. You can still do it as long as your ecas has not been completed. Which means you are not landed yet.

thanks for reply . do u think , there will be any negative effect on our file, like earlier i said she is not coming with me.

None at all. Just email CIC and explain to them that you changed plan, changed mind or whatever the reason is and ask how to add spouse or common law partner prior to becoming resident in Canada and they will reply with instructions.
You should also pay RPRF for her.

You may also Call CIC and ask about it.

Thanks so much :)

But for sure it the process of your application will be delayed or will take longer.

Even cic already did her medical , security , RCMP clearance .asked for PCC and proof of common law relationship doc. Still do u think it will delay the process , how long it will be ??? :(

Yes, she will undergo same process. She will have medical, security, criminality and background check.

She already had MR with me and we did it , any relation proof , RCMP clearance , PCC. This all done for her , because she was in my file , but was not accompanying me . Now only I want her to accompning me. Do u thing they will redo whole process again , medical , security , rcmp check ??? ???

How did this turn out?

I'm in the same situation right now, I started my application stating I would not like her to join me, as she filed her own application at a later date.

Now medical etc are all done, police cert has been sent in and I would like us both to apply for PR with me as the main applicant.

Did this slow your application down by much? did you have a lot more forms to fill in?
