Hi all,

My Permanent Resident application was received in May.2014 by federal. On Feb.6.2015, I was requested for RPRF. And Mar.2, I got an email of READY FOR VISA.

In the email, Step 1 is asking me that Have my Status Changed during the processing time?
Actually, I got Marriage Certificate with my husband in China in June.2014.
So I did translation and certification on the Chinese Marriage Certification, and I attached in the email sent to CPC yesterday.

Questions:

1. Should I mail my passport to CPC? (It mentioned in the email, the passport has to be received in 30 days.)

2. What documents and forms they will ask for? I can start filling in now to save some time.

3. Since it's Ready for Visa, is it possible that they will give me visa and PR card first, then reviewing my husband's documents?

Thank you all sooo much!!!!!!!

Your visa can't be issued until you have added your husband to your application and all of his paperwork has been reviewed. Once this happens, CIC will issue a visa to both of you. So no - there is no possibility that they will give you a PR visa first.

It's really too bad you didn't tell CIC about your marriage earlier. You'll need to contact the visa office and tell them you've gotten married so that they will know they can't issue your visa. You should then send in the forms/documents to add your husband to the application as soon as possible. Sending your marriage certificate is not nearly enough. He has to complete all of the related forms, provide his police certificates, complete the medical, etc.

Thank you very much for your answer!!!

1. Should I use this phone number: 1888 242 2100 ?

2. After finishing all the documentation on my husband, should I attached to email and send to them? (coz email is faster) Or I have to send in paper file?

Thanks!

1. You should email the visa office handling your application.
2. No - you can't use email. You have to send new forms which have to have original signatures. You must use mail.
