Hi,

i got married to a canadian citizen got in 2010 completed my paper work and later did my landing in April,2012 and got my PR card in July,2012. I was just wondering if i can add an additional name ie my husbands family name in the PR card and what will be the procedure, and how long will it take.

please advise.

To change the name on the PR Card you need your marriage certificate, a copy of your CoPR, a drivers license or health card showing your married name and a completed application (link below) and the $50.00 fee.

you are very welcome! Hope it works LOL I havn't changed mine yet, can't actually do that until I receive my PR card but I did verify the procedure with the IO @ POE when I landed and he confirmed it was correct.
