Accompanying student spouse visa

Hi All!
I am a Pakistani first year student of MSc in Chemical Engineering at University of Waterloo, Canada. I am engaged and want my future wife to be here with me next year. There are two solutions in my understanding, i am hoping you can shed some light on this.
1. My wife applies for a visit visa to Canada, she works at an embassy in Karachi and can show that as proof of returning back, she herself is BE in Chemical Engineering
2. I do Nikah in August and file for her spouse visa.

We are getting married(Rukhsati Valima) in December and I wish to take her with me after that.
Please guide me on the best way of going about this.

As far as CIC is concerned, the Nikah nama will be proof that you are married. So after the Nikah, submit the Nikah nama to get the spousal TRV and the SOWP
