Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me out. My father and mother is ready to go to Canada to obtain their PR status but there is an issue -- my father will be leaving for Canada after a week and can only stay there for 1 month because we have to settle our business back home. My mother, on the other hand, will go to Canada once my father is back. Will there be a problem if my mother lands in Canada without my father who is the principal applicant of the PR status?

The principal applicant must land before or at the same time as the other dependants. Once landed, there are no problems with the others landing.

Hello Zardo. Thank you for the reply. But can my mother land in Canada if my father who is the principal applicant is not present in the country? What I mean is that my father will go to Canada without my mother just so he can land before her but is it his obligation to be inside Canada when she lands? Because my father needs to go back to our home country after 1 month of being in Canada. We are just worried that if my mother lands in Canada while he is outside that there will be a problem..
