Look up youth hostels now, reserve a room for the first two nights -- sometimes you have to be on the ground to find a place to stay. When you get there, rent a suite in a household month-to-month. After you've found a job, you can look for appropriate permanent housing.

actually I am arriving along 2 kids,I cant stay at youth hostel..I don't know if they will accommodate me?and yes you are right...I feel like owners aren't interested to proceed with me as I am still out of Canada...I want to book an appropriate and reasonable accommodation prior to landing...as along kids I cant wander whole city...do you know any hostel...where I can go straight from airport?please reply

Look the hostels and hotels up yourself, call them and ask them if they take children; most have rooms, and even if they don't, children can stay in them. My family stayed in hostels in Europe when we visited there. As for going straight from the airport, you do that by getting in a taxi or on the Metro. Do you have a job? If so, you should rent close to there, if possible. If not, then it may not matter where you are. Either way, I'm afraid you are going to do a lot of wandering, with or without children.
