Hi everyone,
We are a couple moving to Windsor, Ontario in November and looking for suitable accommodation. Experienced members please suggest us possible ways of finding accommodation in that area as well as average cost of housing for a couple.

For a 1-bed apartment, you're looking at $800+/month for rental cost. For low-rise buildings, it can be as low as $700/mo. They mostly have utilities included. Parking/laundry can be extra.

Besides kijiji.ca and craigslist.ca, there are lots of rental websites you will see by Googling.

Mind you, as a newcomer, you may find difficulties in renting an apartment as they usually check jobs, pay stubs, credit score etc. If this becomes an issue for you, be prepared to deposit large amounts as security. By default, it's a 1-year lease with 1st & last month rent in advance for apartments. You may have to pay more than 2-month rents in advance.
