Academic documents assessment for spouse?

I am applying for express entry to Canada with my wife. We both have more than 10 years of experience in IT. I am the primary applicant and will be getting my academic documents assessed from WES.

My question is does my wife needs to get her documents assessed too?

it is not mandatory for spouse, but if you need extra points in EE , then you need to..
