Hello!
I am canadian permanent resident since July 2010. I have llived in Canada for 3 years and I applied for canadian citezenship in October 2013. I am currently on vacations in Europe since November 2013. I plan to come back to Canada in July 2014. Concerning the fact that I will be out of Canada for 9 months, I would like to know if my absence may affect my permanent residence status or obtaining canadian citizenship? Thank you for your replies

It will not affect your PR because you only need 2/5 years in Canada to keep that.

For citizenship, if immigration realizes that you left after applying and have been outside Canada for months, they might give you an RQ. That is where they delay your application for a couple of years while they make you prove that you were really in Canada for 3 years before you applied.
