Hello good people,
My wife is going to apply for a Masters in Canada next fall.
The three sponsers are as follows:
1. My wife (Main applicantas student)
2. Me (dependant)
3. My sister-in-law.
Now my questions are as follows:
1. Can my sister in law be the sponsor?
2. She has some fixed deposits in our home country. That portion will be shown only. So what kind of documents must be declared?
3. As sister in law and brother is living in Canada, will it be a problem? Or is there any chance that the visa officer will consider it as negative?
FYI: She is showing ony around 20% of the total cost. Others will be sponsored by my wife and I.

1. Your sister in law can provide bank statements but they most likely will not be considered. She should show considerable funds to support her sister and her own family. Your spouse is not a dependant of her sister, over 22 and married. The two of you should be showing your own funds.
2. Who is she? Your spouse. Show those bank statements and prove that they can be transferred to cash immediately.
3. They are not your immediate family members.

So show your own funds for two people plus tuition, ties to return, and justify costs with career progression and higher pay when she returns home.
