Abbreviations? how to avoid?

Hi,

I have filled the FSWP application forms but I am helpless to avoid abbreviations.

Like I am member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, how can it be fit in the little space and large fonts provided with Q-9 of schedule A background declarataion.

Can I use the abbreviation as IEEE and then mention the list of abbreviations at a separate sheet?

similarly, Bachelor of Engineering can be replaced by B.E or B.Engg.

any suggestion?

you have to add page/s (mentioning your name, what form and the question number. i personally added: (Please see additional sheet.) on the blank in the original form.

thanks myluck, this is exactly what I did....... a list of abbreviations, alongwith the question num.

The instructions for Question 9 on the Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form clearly indicates that you are not to use abbreviations

"Note: Do not use abbreviations. Write the city and country where you were a member."



Do as myluckyprincess indicated by attaching an additional sheet.....but on that additional sheet you need to state the actual name of the organisations you are a member of. You need to write Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers not IEEE.



This is the complete instructions for Q9 on the Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form:

Question 9

Indicate the names of all membership or association with organizations you are or were a member of, including:

political organizations,
social organizations,
youth or student organizations,
trade unions, and
professional organizations.

If you were not a member of an association or organization, do not write “not applicable”. Rather, write: “I have never been a member of an organization or association”.

Note: Do not use abbreviations. Write the city and country where you were a member.
