I am a wife of a Canadian Permanent Resident, who is currently in the US and going to Canada to settle there. On the present time I am in the US on a Visitor Visa and I applied for a Canadian TRV to visit as a tourist.

Can my husband apply to sponsor me from within Canada when I enter there (provided he is gonna be there), or that would be considered as a dual intent?

My only concern if I return back to my home country and my husband applies for sponsorship that would take time, and I am going to deliver a baby in October?

If it is okay to apply from within Canada can he adds me to his health insurance?

I would like to get any feedback from you guys, in-case anyone has had face the same thing before.

1. Yes if you get the TRV, that is going to be the first hurdle.
2. You would not be eligible for health insurance until 3 months after you become a PR in most provinces.
