Hey guys,

I just wanted to share my story.

I landed in October 2005 with family members and all my family members withdraw their PR status, I applied for my citizenship myself.

Took me long enough but I will have my oath next week.

Some how my application was in process in ST.clair office in the beginning then it got transferred to Scarborough office.

I have been RQed on my exam date, hearing with citizenship judge. but I have done everything without any help from immigration firms or lawyers.

I wish you guys all good luck on your application and hope this helps.

Congratulations. Do you have any idea why it had taken more than 3 years to schedule a test? Seems like a ridiculous amount of time to do that.

I have no idea.. I just waited and waited

curious on knowing how your interview with the judge went? Many anecdotes say the judges are really grumpy and testy with these kinds of hearings. Was that the same in your case too?

I had interview in september, my judge was very nice. Since I had no problem in English, we were joking through out the conversations. He said that if you get RQed then you must get hearing. Judge just need to see my passport stamps and if it matched my RQ. he said that he has 60 days to make decision. took about 40days to get my oath letter.
