Hi everyone
I am considering a job as Postdoctoral Fellow in Sweden. I will be paid by so-called "fellowship" which treats me like a trainee and hence my salary will not be taxed.
However, this is definitely a job as I am not attending any class or fulfilling degree requirement as student and I will formally work there. (Duties can be found in NOC)
My question is: without paying tax, will it be considered as "working" in Sweden?
PS: for your information, similar situation is very common in Canada, that some universities treat Postdoctoral Fellow as trainee (typical case be those in Quebec and there is no T4 slip) while as employee (like McMaster University)
