A question regarding Submission of annual income tax return

Hi,

Here are the facts:

1- I become permanant resident in March 2007, and left Canada in April 2007 & stayed only 52 days in Canada in the year 2007.
2- I stayed outside Canada in Year 2008 & 2009.
3- I came back in Canada in April 2010. ( I filed my Income Tax return for the year 2010 & 2011)

On the basis of above fact, I have a question that:

Being a Canadain Permanant resident since March 2007, Do I have to file Tax Returns for the years 2007, 2008 & 2009 where I was not living in Canada? Please Advise.
