Hello to everybody here,
I and my common law partner (same gender) who is Canadian citizen are about to send our application in a few months (outland) We have been living together for almost a year and we have enough proofs that we are a genuine couple such as joint bank account, trips we had together, letters from friends who claim that we are a genuine couple etc....
In form IMM 008 it asks if my partner has ever met my parents, since my parents don't know about my sexual orientation my partner has never met them, I was wondering if that sounds suspicious to them and I am really confused...

Any advice on how to answer to this question in form IMM 008?

Just tell the truth and explain the situation. It helps to have parental support, but it's not mandatory that parents need to know about the relationship.

As long as you have enough evidence to prove 12-month of continuous cohabitation and that you are a genuine couple, then it should be ok. Make sure you have things like joint rental/lease agreement, mail addressed to each of you showing the same address, shared bank account or credit card, testimonies from landlords, other family, friends or co-workers that can state you have been living as a couple, joint life insurance, etc etc.

thank you so much, your answer was a great relief for me.... I was intending to write the truth and explain to them.
