Hello Everyone,

I am IT Consultant preently working in the US ( not an H1) . I have more than 6 years of experience working in the IT Sector in India. Moved to the US 4 months back for a project that will be completed in October 2010. My wife is an MBA and has 5 years of Research Experience.

I plan to immigrate to Canada ASAP under skilled worker program. And I have been doing a lot of research on this. But this immigration process seems to be an ocean and I just cant seem to find information that I need. I sincerely ask all the senior and new members to help me in this process.

1) Shall I use an Immigration consultant to represent me? My case is complicated. I am presently in the US but I cannot apply from US because I have lived here for less than a year. I will move to Delhi in a few months, will I have to apply from Delhi. I do not want to wait till I move to Delhi to apply for immigration as I will be loosing time.

2) Can someone suggest me a good consulatant who charges reasonably amount for this whole process?

3) What is present job market scenario for IT/Telecom guys in Canada? Do you guys know of any IT headhunters in Canada? If so please share.

I will really appreciate your help in this matter and it is a little urgent.

Thanks in advance!! ;D

1. U don't require an Agent/Consultant now-a-days. U may like to read the process here...

2. As above.

3. The market is not so bad, but initially anyone'd would have teething troubles. U may like to read on it here...

Well, try and see what NOC your work experience matches, and if the NOC is in the list then its best as process is fast. I would suggest you share the kind of job responsibilities here and duties which you have performed in the last 10 years so that I can help you with the NOC.

1. No you don't need an immigration consultant since it is an easy process. But if you cannot take out time to read the instruction guide or some forms then you can. My advice is DO IT YOURSELF.

2. David Cohen, heard it about him from people.
3. Better then India but initially might have teething problems.

Best is to apply from New Delhi Visa office as it is the fastest in terms of processing a case under Federal Skilled Worker program.

Would be happy to help and answer your queries. Feel free to share.
