Hi
I was issued a TRV in 2012 and I visited Canada; I will be applying for a multiple entry
Visa this year; my question was that if I am granted a multiple
Visa , will it be for a specific period or related to the expiry
Of my passport?
Thanks

it is for specific period or related expiry of your PP, whichever comes first.

just a question, for your first single entry TRV, how long was you intended stay in your application and how long did the officer at the POE authorized you to stay?

thanks!

I stayed for almost 3 weeks and my visa
Had an expiry of 06 months.
(Issued on 31/07/2012-30/01/2012)

My PP expires in August 2014 and I plan to apply for
A multiple entry in may 2013.
Do you suggest I renew my PP for another 5 years?
Please let me know.
Many thanks

if you will not renew your PP, the chance you will get a multi entry would be valid up to the expiry of your PP which is on Aug2014.
if your renewed it before applying for the multi entry visa and you're lucky enough to get it then, probably, officer would stamp you for a validity up to the expiry of your new PP.

If it wont take that long for you to renew your PP, I would suggest to have it renewed first before applying for Multi Entry Visa.

If a person was issued a multiple entry visitors visa and the officer at the port of entry did not put a date in the stamp, how long can that person stay in Canada?

Fchhapra, If you have plans to stay beyond your passport expiry date you can go for renewal first, that way you can apply for multiple entry visa for a longer period.

hi there
My Son also plans to visit Canada with me ; he is a student with the Abudhabi university( 21 YEARS ) and this will be his first time to visit Canada.
Since i have already been last year and plan to apply for a multiple entry TRV do you suggest he also applies for a multiple entry or a single entry?
Pleas advise
Thanks

My PP is going to expire in 2016, I already applied for multiple entry and waiting to hear from them. I may give you how long my visa was stamped once I get it.
