Hello everyone. I have a bit of a complicated question, but first let me give you a quick rundown on my current situation. My wife is currently working in Canada on an open work permit as a freelance video editor (NOC A) and has been for the past two months, working roughly 40 hours a week. She has not been offered a contract nor has a termination date been given to her. Meanwhile I am on the other side of the world in South Africa as I am an SA citizen with an SA passport and therefore do not qualify for an open work permit, unless I apply through my spouse who obtained an OWP as she has a British passport and was under the age of 31 when it was issued. From my understanding, my wife needs a FULL TIME job under NOC O, A or B. So here's my question: could the IRCC be persuaded that her current employment, although not officially permanent, meets all the criteria to be considered a full time job allowing me to apply for a spousal work permit?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
