Get married ;D

well ty i intend to but where would i stand?ie go over on "holiday" and get married?or visitors permit?or..............,yup im lost :'(

How about this- go there on a visitor visa, get married, apply for inland spousal sponsorship, extend your visitor visa, and get that job in the meanwhile? :D

But then they might just deny you a visitor visa, since you have family and a finacee there...hmmmm....

Yes, the irony of that eh---- reason for visa denial-- because you have family there ::)

He's from the UK so he doesn't need a visitor visa.

I'd say check with the Canadian embassy in London if you qualify for a youth mobility program (working holiday). That will get you an open work permit for a year which should be enough time to go to Canada, get married and get your PR through sponsorship.

If you don't qualify for a working holiday, get married and apply for sponsorship outland. That doesn't mean you can't stay as a visitor while you are waiting for processing. You just have to apply to extend if you want to stay longer than 6 months. If you are from the UK, outland is a lot faster than inland, that is why it is better.

You can also try for a work permit for that job you have waiting for you. The employer would have to apply for a labour market opinion and prove that they tried to advertise and could not find any Canadian who wanted the job or was qualified. If you get the work permit, that will also allow you to work while you wait for your sponsorship to go through.

that brilliant guys ty,i cant do youth,im 33,but your saying i dont need a visitor visa?i could go over and get married and then apply for residency?

Yes, you can visit without a visa, you are visa-exempt.

Outland means that your application is processed via the London Canadian embassy, which will be much faster than applying Inland, through the CPC-Vegreville in Alberta.

ok and i can apply for outbound while im in canada?,omg so in reality theres not alot stopping me just going out there?

Yes, and no, not a whole lot. :)

If you get a work permit as mentioned earlier, you may register for a social insurance number.
