Well for those who might've caught our progress, my husband had to submit a rehabilitation application in order for his PR to be processed. So we are not anxiously waiting that to be processed since we originally submitted our application back in August of last year.

I checked ecas this morning and saw the first update since last September:

Medical results have been received.

The irony is his results expire tomorrow.

That's one of those where I'm not sure if I'd laugh or cry, good grief!

.... and Buffalo returned the money order for the Rehabilitation app. The letter we received originally asked for $170 USD but apparently they upped the rate to $200 USD on May 1.

I wonder how long the whole rehab process takes?

The letter we received said it could take months and the timelines I've read about for the application when done on it's own (not as part of a permanent residence app) are about a year. We're hoping that since this is a "minor" criminal charge and is 12+ years old that they will process it quickly.

No deemed rehabilitation? Was the completion of the sentence less than 10 years ago from the date you applied?

He didn't recall the 3 years summary probation when we filed the PR app so we thought the 10 years had elapsed. The 10 years will be up Dec 22, 2011. :S

Oh my gosh Kess, that bites!!!
